A day to forget

The first race in the history of Formula E did not go at all as I had hoped. In the morning, during qualifying, I made a mistake and slightly hit the wall. With these cars, this is not forgivable, the gearbox was damaged. And unfortunately, the organizers had no more in reserve. So I knew that I only had one car to race, and that I would not be able to go all the way.

In the race, my rear wing broke, so I would have finished far from first place anyway. I at least tried to set the fastest lap in the race, which is worth two points, but the track was much faster at the end of the race, and my time was eventually beaten.

So it's really a day to forget. In this championship, only the nine best results will count over ten races... so let's say I've already burnt my joker, and now I'll have to go and get the good results.

On a positive note, let's say that we have at least proved that the car is very competitive, as my teammate almost won the race. We learned a lot in Beijing. We will now have to use this knowledge to do better next time, on November 22nd in Putrajaya...
