RACE 1: A STRONG START AND VALUABLE POINTS
The inaugural Shanghai E-Prix weekend kicked off with Sébastien Buemi delivering a solid performance for Envision Racing. Starting 12th on the grid, Buemi faced early challenges as he slipped to 14th place by the end of the first lap. However, his experience and strategic acumen came into play as he navigated the race.

Despite the setbacks, Buemi executed a smart race strategy, utilizing Attack Mode effectively and conserving energy where needed. His persistence paid off as he climbed back through the field, crossing the finish line in 10th place. Following post-race penalties applied to other drivers, Buemi's position was elevated to eighth, earning him and the team crucial championship points.

This performance underscored Buemi's ability to adapt and overcome difficulties, setting a positive tone for the rest of the weekend.

RACE 2: A DETERMINED FIGHT THROUGH THE FIELD
Sunday’s race presented another set of challenges as Buemi started near the back of the grid. Undeterred, the Swiss driver showcased his racing prowess, systematically working his way through the pack. By the fourth lap, Buemi had moved up to 21st position, steadily making progress despite tough competition.

As the race unfolded, Buemi continued to climb, reaching 17th place by lap 13 and eventually breaking into the top 15. His relentless push saw him finish the race in 12th place, just outside the points but demonstrating his capability to fight through adversity and maintain competitive lap times.

TEAM EFFORT AND FUTURE OUTLOOK
The Shanghai E-Prix was not just about individual performance but also highlighted the teamwork at Envision Racing. Robin Frijns, Buemi’s teammate, had his share of ups and downs over the weekend. After a strong start in the first race where he briefly led the field, Frijns encountered difficulties but managed to secure a ninth-place finish in the second race, adding to the team’s points tally.

The combined efforts of Buemi and Frijns have laid a solid foundation as Envision Racing looks forward to the upcoming double-header race weekend in Portland, North America.
