Nissan e.dams takes points finish in maiden Jakarta E-Prix
Nissan e.dams secured a point as Formula E travelled to Jakarta for the first time, with Sébastien Buemi battling through sweltering conditions to finish 10th.
The Swiss driver showed immediate pace on the brand-new Jakarta Street Circuit, going second fastest in Free Practice 1. His speed continued into qualifying, where he progressed into the duels for the first time this season, eventually lining up sixth on the grid. Formula E now moves on to the final single-race weekend of the season, as the series takes on the fifth edition of the Marrakesh E-Prix on 2 July 2022.
"I'm really happy with our performance in qualifying, to start P6 is very positive for us. I felt good on track from the first session, the conditions were challenging and the team worked really hard to give me a good car. In the race we were comfortable, but then I missed the Attack Mode activation, which cost us a couple of positions at the end. It was a difficult race for the battery and the tires, but I'm thankful to the crew for their efforts this weekend and happy to take a point." Sébastien Buemi
