BUEMI SHINES FOR ENVISION RACING IN LONDON E-PRIX DOUBLE-HEADER

Envision Racing’s Sébastien Buemi delivered a stellar performance over the weekend, securing a podium finish on Saturday and a solid 4th place on Sunday, in the season-ending London E-Prix double-header.

Day 1: Buemi Back on the Podium
Sébastien Buemi marked his return to the podium with a 3rd place finish in the first race of the London E-Prix double-header. The former champion qualified 2nd after an intense duel phase, narrowly missing out on pole position to Mitch Evans.

Qualifying
Buemi displayed exceptional speed, progressing through the duels and ultimately securing 2nd on the grid. His teammate, Robin Frijns, also showed strong pace but was unfortunately eliminated in the quarter-finals.

The Race
At the start, Buemi maintained his 2nd position behind pole-sitter Evans. The race saw multiple safety car periods due to incidents, including an early crash that ended Frijns' race. Buemi briefly took the lead on lap five but fluctuated between the top positions as he and Evans swapped places during Attack Mode phases. A mechanical issue for Maximilian Günther in the final laps allowed Buemi to reclaim 3rd place, securing vital points for Envision Racing and moving them ahead of McLaren in the Teams' Standings.

Day 2: Solid Points Haul and 4th Place for Buemi
The second race of the London E-Prix saw Buemi finish 4th, capping off a strong weekend and helping Envision Racing secure 6th place in the Teams’ Championship.

Starting from 17th on the grid after a challenging qualifying session, Buemi faced an uphill battle in the race.
