Both Envision Racing drivers showed good pace this weekend in Sao Paulo. Sébastien finished the first practice session in P1, which suggested a good start to the weekend for the team. Unfortunately, Sébastien Buemi had a difficult afternoon in the race. He started in 12th position, but his progress was brutally interrupted on the second lap by an incident that seriously injured his hands. The Swiss driver used all of his experience to return to 10th place at the flag, showing that both Envision Racing cars have pace. A vital point for the team that helps consolidate second place in the team standings as Formula E returns to Europe for the double E-Prix in Berlin.

“Race a bit difficult for me. Good start, I quickly finished 10th, but unfortunately a crash in turn 5 made me fall down in the ranking. I hurt my hands because of this accident, I'll have to go for X-rays to make sure there is nothing broken. I managed to fight as best I could with the damaged car and my hands hurting badly. I finished 10th. It was a frustrating and disappointing result, especially as we had a good car. The other Jaguars showed it by finishing on the podium. We will work hard to come back stronger in Berlin.” Sébastien Buemi
