First in the constructor’s championship. But we can improve !

We had the first 2016 WEC race at Silverstone. Conditions were quite tough, as it was raining on Friday, and also on Saturday. My team-mates qualified the car 6th because of a small technical issue.

I took the start, and I climbed up to 5th, then to 4th. After the problems of the Audis and the Porsches, we were 3rd. At that moment, my team-mate Nakajima had a little accident. He damaged a wheel, had to come back to the pits, and we lost a lot of time to repair it. When he was back on track, we were far behind the leaders.

Ok, we still score the points of the third place. As the other Toyota finished 2nd, we are now leading the constructor’s championship. It was not a super-race, however, as we should have finished second without that little accident. We will try to have a nice race and to finish on the podium at Spa, the next round.
